Poster House and design studio Isometric are joining forces to host a Zoom design workshop where you will be creating a poster expressing your support and appreciation for all the essential workers on the frontlines during this pandemic.
The workshop is open to everyone and no prerequisitie is required to attend. The posters can be created using physical or digital tools. To start off the event, there will be a brief presentation by Poster House Chief Curator Angelina Lippert and Education Director Samantha Hirsch on the history and purpose of posters. The interactive workshop will be led by Isometric Studio partners Andy Chen and Waqas Jawaid.
The session will start off with brainstorming several typographic and/or image-based messages, followed by thumbnailing and then selecting an idea to develop further into a poster, which can be shared on social media. You’ll be able to share your work during the session for live feedback. Make sure to have all your materials prepared before the start of the session, such as paper, color pencils, chalk pastels and paint.
20 April 2020 from 5:00pm-7:00pm ET via Zoom online
